Dan Falcone

Dan Falcone began studying trumpet at the age of 13, and by 15 he was working as a professional musician on the Las Vegas Strip.  By the age of 18, after studying with the great Tom Porrello, Dan worked with entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, George Burns, Jerry Lewis, Rita Moreno, Andy Williams, Tony Bennett, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Don Rickles, Frankie Valli, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, and countless others  as well as many production shows such as Enter the Night at the Stardust Hotel.

Attending USC on a full ride scholarship, Dan studied with some of the best trumpet players in the world, including Bobby Shew, Charlie Davis, and Gary Grant.  After a brief stint with the Glenn Miller Band, Dan returned to Las Vegas and was discovered by Tom Jones and hired as his lead trumpet player in 1998.  He toured the world with Tom until 2000 and returned home to perform in a Ricky Martin Production at the Mandalay Bay Hotel from 2000-2002.  During this period, Dan was asked to join one of his idols, Maynard Ferguson, many times, but was never able to clear his schedule.  In 2002, Dan joined Paul Anka full time and continued touring until taking the Broadway show Hairspray.  Following this, Dan was hired by Toni Braxton, with whom he continues to perform.  In between, Dan has performed and recorded with many other entertainers such as Alicia Keys, Martin Nievera, Patti Austin and Vince Gill.

Dan is currently performing with Bette Midler for her two and a half year run at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas as well as preparing to perform in the latest Broadway musical Jersey Boys at the Palazzo Hotel.
